Judy, Tom, and Michael sometimes it's not quite that simple. I have found that after I save the imbedded photos, one of my photo programs will open the picture, one will not.  After I open the photo and save it again, then it will open in any program. Of course the photo program that I like to use is the one that will not open Bill's photos.

Clicking the right mouse button on the image should give you a menu that includes "Save Image As" The rest is the same as "Save Attachments".  I hope this works for you.
