Re: long awaited seedlings

Donald,

I love those seedlings!!!!  I'd be pleased too!   Do you have plans on introducing them?

Subject: [iris-photos] long awaited seedlings

These seedlings are the from the first pod I ever got on an AB X AB cross.
Way back in 2000, my second year at daubing.  There were only 5 seeds, but
three germinated and two survived.   When they hatched, little did I know
how awful the next few growing seasons were going to be.  I've despaired
more than once of their survival and watched bloom stalks get zapped the
previous two years.  But they survived and finally, finally I get to see
what they look like.  The cross is ANACRUSIS X DESERT PLUM and for once I'm
as sure as one can be about who the parents are.  They are smaller than I'm
wanting to work with - both measured at 15 inches tall today, fully expanded
blooms no wider than a tennis ball, but I'm still pleased.  I've waited long
enough.
