This spuria clump is blooming now.  Telling me the end of the iris season is
approaching the end.  It's the first spuria to bloom (always).  I don't know
what it is for sure, but I think it is the same as those that grow in
abandoned places for decades.  Strong survival.  It looks the same is one a
retiree from work has in his yard.  He's been trying to kill it since he
moved in 10-12 years ago.  Calls it the Dutch iris.   Loves TBs, but not
this one.  I think he may have given up killing it.  I was by there this
week and his clump is probably 5 feet across now.  I think it looks great!
Grows under a fruitless mulberry where even the grass won't grow.  Or maybe
the grass just had too many doses of roundup while he was after that spuria.
Don't know.  In any case, he hasn't been successful at eradicating it from
his property.
