RE: Walking Iris


Walking Iris , Neomarica gracilis
Flower, plant with plantlets attatched to end of flowering stem as it usually 
reproduces. These plantlets root when they touch ground and thus the 
"walking" behaviour.

I recently found that one flower formed a seed pod. A rather unusual event , 
something I hadn't seen before. Here is a couple of photos of the seed.

Thius is strickly an indoor plant unless you are completely frost free.
