Hi,

Francis and Ruth are still maintaining their Iris garden.  They received Iris rhizomes as a wedding gift and the rest is history.  Now two of their three girls are involved with their own gardens and so is one son in law.  The other helps but one really enjoys the garden.

Thanks to all of you for the congratulations. This was my first show

and I was thrilled with the wins. Barbara Null won Queen of Show with Electric

Shock. She had some great looking Louisiana iris at the show too..

 

I hope all you will look into Francis Roger's iris. If you don't know, then look up Masai Warrior, Cajun Cooking, Halo Everybody,Katie Girl..those are just a start. I hope I am correct on age but I think Mr Rogers is about 83 this year. He is still working in the beds as far as I know. You can go to Google and type in Francis Rogers iris and I think it will show you some articles on him and his wonderful wife, Ruth.

 

I encourage you all to at least check them out. You can phone them for a catalog or email them. If you need those numbers or email addy, contact myself or Char.
