Donald, after squishing cucumber beetles by hand last year, I found it
was a remarkably effective method of control. Seemed like I wasn't
making much of a dent, but by patroling and squishing twice a day for a
few days, they were nearly all gone. Best to catch them very early in
the morning before they get really revved up.
