The photo was taken in late afternoon light with a flash, that is what causes it to look lighter than normal.

Riley  --  I think you've got some other kind of apple there.  It's not the CRANAPPLE I know.  I'll try to send a photo tomorrow if it's still blooming here.  By the way, I've just had a single seed sprout from a holdover planting of a CRANAPPLE cross.  I've never been able to get a Cranapple cross to germinate before. --  Griff

Opening today in the Probst/Trio Garden in Kirkwood, MO Zone 6 is CRANAPPLE T. Aitken 1995 BB. This one today won Best in Show at the Greater St. Louis Iris Society Show at Missouri Botanical Garden exhibited by me.
