Arthur G. Blodgett

April 21, 1908 - April 21, 2006

Arthur G. Blodgett of Waukesha died Friday, April 21, 2006, at LindenGrove Health Care Center-Waukesha at the age of 98 years. Art was born April 21, 1908, the son of Riley and Louisa Blodgett. He died on his 98th birthday.

He was a longtime member of the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ and a member of the Waukesha Kiwanis Club. He devoted his working career to his business, Waukesha Roofing Co., of which he was the president and treasurer. Art was a charter member and past president of the Wisconsin Iris Society and also a charter member of the American Hemerocallis Society.

Art will be sadly missed by his son, Eugene (Linda) of Waukesha; his grandchildren, Michael (Debra) of Germantown and Amy Blodgett of Maryland; his great grandchildren, James and Matthew; his sister, Jeanette Andersen of Waukesha; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Romona, in 1995, and his sisters, Anita and Ruth.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service Friday, April 28, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Ralph Schultz will be officiating. Private burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.
