Historic AB: AMERICAN MODERN

Craig, '51. An OGB- type AB. Hail on the bud caused the damage at the
bottome of the falls.

I've been checking forecasts for various locations. I'm so sorry that it
looks like so many folks are going to be affected by the current cold
weather system. The danger days here are going to be Sat & Sun. Then it
will probably turn almost hot again. Not as much daubing has occurred here
as would normally be the case considering what's been in bloom. Work, bad
weather days on the days off have conspired to prevent. May be just as
well. I do have a few pods showing up and wonder how those will fare if
they suffer some freezing temps, but not one that kills them outright.
Never had pods showing before when there was a freeze. A good bit of pollen
has been collected and stored, but it it gets bad enough I have to wonder
where it might be used. At least I got to see a lot of things. Best of
luck to everyone in the path of bad weather.
