Out in the garden
Where the cold wind blows
A little purple iris
Has stuck its nose
Out of its spaeth
And into the air
To see if it's safe
To be blooming there.
With four freezes down
And one to go,
My advice would be
To take it slow;
But this one's determined
It's time to shine,
So, what can I say, but
