Griff, Anita, and all,........ my downfall in this area is probably due to being too "goal oriented" minded.  I have certain goals I'd like to see reached and I have a tendency to overlook a "good" iris just because it's not in line with my goals. Not always - but often. :-)
 
Anita, those are beautiful bee-pod children, just as Donald had beautiful seed-pod children too!   Maybe I should see what those bees are choosing as iris mates.  LOL   If only my space wasn't so limited.

Anita et al  --  If I had all the space in the world, I would never throw away a bee pod.  Since I don't have so much space, I sometimes harvest only those that occur on what I consider important flowers.  Basically, though, I feel that if a flower is worth keeping in your garden, then a bee pod on that flower might give you something nice.  --  Griff

Margie I get rid of bee pods on tall bearded only becasue even with planned crosses have been disasters, [I'm still learning]

However I am very pleased witht he results of bee pods off of John (IB) and Sunstrip (SDB)

03JOu03 is a John Baby that I just love and I am not even a purple type person

03SSu01 to 03SSu03 are all siblings from the same bee pod. With these out comes I wonder sometimes if the bees are smarter than me and maybe I should keep those bee pods.
