Re: mulch & baby copperheads


Momentary lapse - I <used> to know they bear live young <g>. They have
a reputation for hanging out in abandoned sawdust piles, & other
reptiles <do> lay their eggs there, so I guess two of my brain synapses
just hybridized...

I've only seen a baby copperhead here one fall, and it was a total
contrast to lethargic parents. Repeatedly striking its full body length
into the air after it was disturbed. Green tail, about 8 inches long,
as I recall.
