Re: CULT: wind

Griff that is awful!!!  Those irises need to be carrying baseball bats so they can knock those containers in another direction.  LOL  (Poor things)

Winds were gusting here yesterday too.  It blew over a palm tree in a pot, but fortunately not on any irises.  We had a tall Mesquite tree in the front yard topple over from winds last year.  fortunately no real damage done that time either.

Subject: [iris-photos] CULT: wind

The weather isn't done with us yet.  I went to bed last night concerned about the torrential rains, but awoke to roaring winds.  On arising, I found that the trash collectors had been here early, and two empty heavy plastic containers had been blown 30-40 feet into the front garden, where they had snapped off several bloomstalks and crushed others.  One way or another, it seems Mother Nature will get in her licks.  --  Griff
