Billy -- I just went out to the garden
and counted 5 buds each on two stalks that were damaged by the freeze. All
the stalks were up from a few inches to a foot when the freeze hit
here. I'm delighted to see how the clump has weathered that episode.
Even if DAUGHTER OF STARS had only four buds per stalk, its unique beauty and
overall performance would not only have me buying it, but recommending it for
the Dykes. I'll check with Don and Ginny Spoon about the average number of
buds. -- Griff
