Feel free to add other tips for Terry and other newbies
The AIS Slides/Digital Committee has just released a new CD program available to AIS members called "It's Show Time".  There are four separate "folders" on this CD-

FLORAL IRIS DESIGN-a beginner's guide to Designs by Jean Morris
SHOW PREPARATION-paperwork and planning for an approved AIS Show
STALKING THE BEST OF SHOW -grooming for ribbons-some of the info from the Sheldon Butt article that Betty mentioned  and ideas from many other experienced show winners.

Additionally, there is also a great program put together by Scarlett Ayres for her own Affiliate "Grooming-Mesilla Valley Iris Society" which she generously donated to this project.

All programs are in PowerPoint format with free PPT Reader for those who do not have PPT plus a folder with just Jpgs of the whole program to be used for the newer projectors that use a USB flash-drive instead of a computer.  Upon request, these programs can be ordered on a DVD to play on a TV screen with a DVD player.

This CD (and many others at $15.00 each) can be ordered (off-list please) from AIS Slides Chair Janet Smith at aisslides@irises.org or go to the AIS Website http://irises.org/slides.htm for the full list (It's Show Time! is NOT YET on the list). These CDs make great and helpful programs for local meetings!
