Words
and context are important. The above comes at the end of a piece on those
mentioned and I don't think the intent was to include arils and arilbreds
which have a separate bit below. They are bearded iris, but without the
context of what was written preceding the paragraph, this paragraph as a stand
alone makes it sound as if they are considered medians and I don't believe
that was the intent. Arils and ABs have their own awards and own rules
separate to qualify as an arilred. Height isn't used. Therefore they may fall
into the median group by the height, but some are also in the range of TBs.
Unfortunately an AB genetically may be put in these groups if they fail to
qualify per the AB criteria set out.
Odd discussion for this list, but
I expect it's helping people sort out things and will help keep it straight
for them in the future. Never hurts to go over and clarify.
