I am finding I do much better photographing in less than full sun. I think the photo is very nice just the way it is. I saved it in my iris photo collection.

Also known as the Vesper iris, they're in full bloom right now. Difficult to get a brightly lit photo since they open in the evening just as the sun goes down behind the trees.
