I'm not sure I really approve of summer rebloom! This seedling has now produced the 5th summer stalk this year! Stalks 1-3 bloomed in July and stalks 4-5 will bloom in August. Will there be anything left for the fall bloom? Guess I will have to count mature plants to see.
1510-1Re: Planted spring 2001. Survived late frost in 2002, but didn't spring bloom. July 2002=1 stalk, spring 2003=2 stalks, July 2003=3 stalks, Aug 2003=2 stalks. Clump still looks full and healthy! (LOL! )
Picture. This was taken last weekend. I cut a bloom to take to the rhizome sale. Unlike the yellow seedling, this picture is a bit too dark. It was taken outside and there was too much morning shadow. I'll do better by spring. Thought you might like to see it anyway!
