Iris Auction and Plant Sale

We have irises on the way from Mid America Gardens! Paul Black, the owner, received more awards recognition than any other hybridizer in recent American Iris Society poling.

Our previous auction plants were also purchased from Mid America  so if you have attended our sale in the past you already are familiar with the high quality of these rhizomes. Many of the previous plants should be returning as "table sale" plants. Auction starts about 7 or 7:30pm.

We will  have "table sale" iris and other plants from memberâs gardens. Proceeds from the sale of these plants are split between the donor and the club. Many bargains are expected to be found here. Plant check in starts a 6:00 pm.

If you resisted temptation or were unsuccessful in purchasing auction plants at our past sales, you likely will find some of those missed opportunities among our table sale plantsâ.. Old South Iris Society members are among the most generous gardeners in the world.

Table Sale irises should be washed and labeled with the plant, donor name, and price. A bloom description or color is helpful. Other table sale garden  plants should be clean or well potted to avoid lengthly clean-up following sale. They too should be labeled with name, description, price at which you wish them to sell.

Members may opt to take any of their unsold plants home or allow the "unsold" to be auctioned with all proceeds to goin' to Old South Iris Society.

Invite someone to come with you. Bring a friend. Bring your excess irises and garden plants. But more importantly, bring yourself.

Visitors are invited and encouraged to participate!
