Since I initiated this discussion I thought I would point out there were actually two issues, one was having been taking off my yahoo groups (which I now know was probably due to my DSL service provider), and the strange e-mails, that apparently everyone else is getting also. I wasn?t trying to alarm anyone that Iris photos was especially dangerous. I am not even sure the person whose computer is compromised is on Iris photos. Judging from the names attached to the e-mails which are from famous Iris people all around the world I feel sort of honored to have made their address book

If there is a virus it will be an attachment, usually called interscan. Don't open the attachment, and you should be fine. Never open an attachment that you don't recognize.
