Thanks for the reminders John. But as it follows my posting of two
pictures together I wish to point out, that even though these two
photos were large on screen, they fit well, and the file size was
small. The one was 18.3K and the other was 17.2K, both way, way under
your size criteria. Together they were still under your lower limit of
40K for one photo.
With newer programs size reduction can even be done more.
For example, this photo is 7.3K

I guess it is time again to remind everyone that large photo file
sizes are not appropriate on the list.
My process is to use a program like Photoshop or Picture It to first
set the picture to 72 dpi, then I resample the image to approximately
4 X 5 inches and when I save it, set the jpg compression to get down
to the file size I want. Setting the dpi and the picture size lets me
control the display size.
50KB or smaller is the recommended size and lots of folks get them
under 40KB. If you want to send multiple pictures in the same
message, please limit y
our total message size to 200KB.
