TB: more companions

Late summer/early fall (September) weedy companion plants - self sowing
red, yellow, and orange cosmos with SUMMER GREENSHADOWS. Same gravelly
rows in the earlier photos. With all the rain this year, the cosmos
were very dense and lush, but iris seemed to be ok. I kept pulling the
ones that were crowding the irises too much, accidentally thinned them
with Roundup, trampled the ones blocking paths between rows..
Rebloomers mixed in with them bloomed well.

Cosmos were pretty spectacular and are gradually spreading. They are
shallow rooted & easy to get rid of when in the wrong place, but help
keep down other weeds.
