Re: HYB: TB: Seedling cross

Francelle, you are going to get that pink you want yet.
Miss you at Prescott meetings.

I still have a stalk I cut before freeze of  Surprising Wit  blooming in vase in house.
You know I like the browns and yellows.  Pinks just don't show up against stucco.

Interesting that one fall on many of the Surprising Wit has a flaw. (like it wants to split)
At first I thought it was just a damaged fall, but several had it. I'll try to send pix.
  • I haven't had much luck so far getting pixs through to this web site.

Subject: [iris-photos] HYB: TB: Seedling cross

I spent the greater part of today planting iris seeds into cool, wet ground.  There is such a great variety in the size of the seeds.  Cloud Reflection seeds were like big, round, brown beans.  Valentine?s Day X Fogbound were the size of pearled barley, but they were dark and firm.  I have hopes that they will grow.

Cloud Reflection is from Mesmerizer X Pink Champagne.  45-71 A is from Lady Friend X Bubbling Along.  I am dreaming of big, strong, elegant pink rebloomers.  I can dream until 2008 when I get to see the real things.
