You know how complicated it is to send irises to
the USA!
Especially if you are not a business!
I can ask Roland to send you some pollen next June!
That could be easily done. I am also going to ask him to put the parentages on
his site.
I received some from 93P7: (('Velvet Flame' x
'Flaming Light') X 'Copper Caper') yesterday, it rebloomed 2 weeks ago, and is
still in bloom now, and when i saw it's branching on the picture, i asked
Roland for some pollen so i can pollinate my SDB in May!
The shape of the flower is not fabulous, but the
orange beards are quite saturated till the end.
don't hesite to ask if you have more
questions,
Loïc

Seedling
Loïc,
Thank-you for the parentage. (98J4 is lovely too by the
way)
I can certainly see the 'Patina' in it, but I'm surprised such a
rich brown could come from such a brightly colored parent as
'Barocco'.
You wouldn't happen to know 93I4's fate would you? I just
can't get it out of my mind. Is there any hope that we might see it in person
someday? I really do think those colors are stunning! It's one of those irises
that I keep going back just to gawk at. :)
Thanks
again.

am so sorry, i don't know how i mixed 93i4 and 98J4, but the parentage i gave
you was the parentage of 98J4, the red one with hooks 8 pictures under the
brown one you noticed.

there will be quite a few people who think this is just hideous, but I wanted
to share a link to a page that has one of the brownest irises I've ever seen
on it. This particular bloom looks a little tattered, but I think the colors
are gorgeous and wanted to share.

but it is almost halfway down the page in the left column. Seedling 93 I4 and
I'm crazy about it!

this site also doesn't allow its pages to be opened in a frame and it's a
French site. So, I'm out of luck. At least the photos are beautiful.

hates it. :) There are plenty of other beautiful seedling to view, I just
wanted to point out the brown one.
