Re: Historic picture


My two cents. I think it is the old historic Flounced
Loveliness. I searched through my collection of Austin
catalogs and found a picture. Surprisingly, a near
identical shot. Of course, a picture is never a good
method to put a name to a historic iris but the
resemblence is uncanny. The lavender flush on the
flounce and fall is visible, the heavy haft marks on
both fall and flounce. Even the size of the flounce,
and the tailored, almost crumpled form of the flower.
