Thanks, Margie and Sharon  --  I like the arilbred idea.  Now, Sharon, would you go even further and suggest two or three such cultivars and where they might be obtained, since the only one I've ever grown was Jewel of Omar and gave away because I couldn't get seeds from the crosses?  On your recommendation I'd give it a try.  --  Griff

Griff, I like the coloring and the bronze beard.  I'd tried to keep this *look* no matter what you may plan to do with is. I personally would like to see wider falls and more ruffles.

Probably not at all consistent with your program -- but this has the pattern I've found very useful in crosses with arilbreds.  I'd use it with either 1/2-breds or relatively fertile 3/4-breds that have interesting signal patterns.
