Chipped Edges

This seedling of mine, Seedling 99BH31 appears to have chipped edges. Almost like broken paint chips on a coffee cup. Is this from the blue pigment just not filling in properly or is something else going on here. The picture was taken in full sun so the flower gives off a metallic red hue. Any answers would be appreciated.
