Re: HYB: Spirit World seedling

Loic, ........
What was my reaction?  I couldn't believe my eyes! I thought to myself - - "now this one is unique." After going indoors I just had to go back outside and look at it again and again. Of course I grabbed my camera right away too. :-)

How long does it take to recover, I don't think I have yet.  And I probably won't until another "surprise seedling" like this happens along.

Hello again Margie,

What is your reaction when such a beauty opens?

Do you jump and stump your feet in the earth and scream?
How long does it last?

And how long does it take you to recover from the shock ?

Lucky you!

Loïc

This seedling bloomed for the first time last spring also. It is SPIRIT WORLD x WHISPERING SPIRIT.

I'll be watching it closely next spring to see if the standards actually continue to look to be lengthier than the falls. I DO expect the form to change somewhat within it's first 2-3 years. I love the yellow rims on the standards, and the play of colors on the falls.
