Charley, I think your friend's iris is probably not Cayenne Capers, as it has distinct white and yellow ground color patches that Cayenne Capers doesn't have. It's quite similar, though, so the suggestion that it's a Gibson iris is probably a good one. Perhaps a child of Cayenne Capers?
