Thanks to both of you and others who have answered my question. I did find the import feature but unfortunately I didn't get it imported yet. I will get it figured out eventually. I found it very useful for sorting and filtering.

I believe, Chuck, that is how I did do it. It sounds so simple when you describe it. The whole learning process for Access was very daunting at first, but got easier and easier as I went along. I ended up with quite a usable program which has gone through about four significant revisions, transfering data forward each time I redefined fields. Thanks.
