There was a request for me to show a few seedlings from a cross that I
may not necessarily introduce, but perhaps might show more of the spread from
a cross....I thought that I would include more from the group that I posted
just a few images before....These are from the cross 1501 (Celsius
x (Chanted x Fairy Lore))
One of my goals is to get a blue bearded pink plicata that
reblooms....Fairy Lore, being an almost pink plicata to my eyes, would
sometimes rebloom for me so I started here. I added the blue beard of
Chanted and got 9709-2C a pink ground blue bearded SDB with purple fall area
and pink rim....Barry Blyth has said that although he doesn't especially look
for rebloom in his seedlings sometimes he would find it. I have a hunch
(and that's all it is) that chanted has some abilities here as I've gotten
quite a few seedlings that do rebloom from it. It may be a rebloom
carrier and it is one of the best parent clones around. With Barry
telling us in his catalogue that Celsius gives good things, I made a
cross with it to this seedling, just to see, also knowing it would
strengthen the blue beard....It was the best cross of the year for me in the
surprise department....Here are a few from that cross that I have crossed to
some of my reblooming seedlings.....1501-M is the one that I have a real
feeling for. Mostly because it has a wonderful branch, three buds and it also
shot up four bloomstalks on the first year bloom....It was also very
