Pearl, my camera does have "voice"!!  I LOVE that feature in the my camera, (so I don't have to handwrite everything down). But, (as you know) voice uses the battery up a whole lot quicker than taking pictures alone do; so I didn't use it some of the time in the beginning part of the trip.  Especially if we had a long day ahead of photo-taking and were a great distance away from the hotel (and I knew I couldn't charge the battery). After the first few days I finally bought another battery because it proved to be too inconvenient not to use the "voice" feature at all times.
 
You are so right about people starring at you when you are talking into the camera.  LOL  I don't believe there are too many digital cameras that have this feature, so most people are unaware of what is going on. People looked to see who I was talking to. I'm sure they thought I was nuts; that a looney had wandered in.  LOL again.

Margie, does your camera have voice? When I took pictures at Clark Garden I set the picture for voice and recorded the info with the picture. I got a lot of strange looks from people when I walked around talking to my camera but....

Those seedlings had ID numbers but I didn't get any of them either. :-(   If I had them I'd surely give them/list them.  There were just too many irises to photograph, and too little battery, too little time, and too little camera memory to do everything I wanted to do while I was there.
