Guess it's grand mother Lemon Fever has a lot to do with it, with Radiant energy and Wings of dreams in the background !

 

Even if the siblings don't have flounces, i would love to see some of them, how wide is the range of colours with these two different parents?

They might not have big extentions, but they might pass them to the next generatin, and if among them, one as all his other caracteristics  above the average, it still ight be a winner !

Maybe one of them is a good rebloomer ?

 

 

As for F238, it's a shame it's not  trustworthy, the colours are so delicate !

 

But we cannnot win all the time, and like Keith Keppel was saying in his 2006 catalogue : "But for those of us with a gambling addiction, what better pastime for playing the odds?"

With nonSAxSA I'd say that in  general at least half would have some sort of beard extension.

 The problem with SAxSA is that you can get huge flounces but often there is pinching or misshapen as well.

This is a seedling F238  Margaret Inez x Firebeard

Very messy with a high proportion of misshapen.

 

This doesn't stop me from doing SAxSA

Because sometimes they come good

G63-06 It's Magic x Momentous Occasion

It has a few misshapen but it's gorgeous, huge and fertile, bud count about 8, never pinches. Will probably register this one. Waiting for the offspring to bloom. The siblings have only  horns and small spoons.

 

So it's a toss up: nonSA xSA or SAxSA or do as I do and do both. With NonSAxSA the non-horned ones can be very good in themselves but your less likely to get a very flashy super SA

When you use space age irises with those that have no appendages, do you get a high percentage of space age seedlings?
