Re: Yellow with Tangerine beard

This is an SDB that is an tttt genotype, with alternative yellow and
the lycopene removed from the petals. Lycopene remains in the beard. If
lycopene was present on petals it would be orange, like its pollen
parent.

It is from Lumalite X Orange Daiquiri. Luminite has the recessive
genes to remove carotene from the petals. Orange Daiquiri has two of
these recessive genes. Lumalite obvious carries genes for alternative
yellow, which is not surprising seeing how many orange iris are in its
background.
