I don't know much about I. milesii either, but it sure doesn't look like any crested Iris pictures I've seen with the standards held upright and much larger, the relatively broad falls for a crested... and of course the horns. All three flowers in that one pic look the same so I would guess it is consistent in form and you can see the horn extending out into the air on the left one in the backround. 
 
If I could I'd go out there an get it myself!  Has anyone heard since the posting in November of anyone obtaing seeds or plants of this?

whatever it is that it is that it is, I'm sure those speckles and horns will have someone climbing that mountain at the right time to bring a piece down before very long.
