When I had geese I had the same problem with them. They hate Lindane. One or two drops on the folliage will last long enough for them to accept the new plants and leave them alone. Hope this helps.

Hi all,

2 more iris pictures, but why the geese? The week before our iris sale the club will go to the Detroit Zoo to dig up and divide the extra increase rhizomes that will be sold at the club's fall sale. The week after the club will go back to the zoo and replant those which did not sell out and/or plant new irises that were purchased from Lacy Hagood in Oklahoma. Must relate to Lacy that the club is ecstatic with the volume, including extras that you are sending, thank you from the entire club. The dreaded geese will be off to the sides of the iris beds pretending they are grazing. In reality they are just waiting for us dumb humans to get out of their way so that they may get into the new iris beds. All they do is pull up the just planted rhizome, lay it on its side, then move on to the next just planted rhizome, lay it on its side........ Lord only knows.
