Dug up some of the plant today to look at the roots/rhizome. Enclosed is a photo. The rhizome is vey much like a minature pseudacorus. Very similar except smaller. Even has the same fibrous layered covering. Very heavy root structure, much larger then usual setosa roots and much larger then siberian. In the picture there is a hole on left side of the rhizome where I found a good sized borer.
