Thanks for the picture Mike.  It's a beautiful iris but not the same one I think. My picture is  white with just a purple blend in the center. Very different I thought from any I have ever seen. I might contact the Spears and see if they can recall who it might be.

Pearl, one possibility is Crystal Glow (Schreiner 73). Argyle does grow a lot historics, but I'd ask them if they grow this.  Here's my Crystal Glow for comparison.
