RE: CULT: Is this pineappling?

Title: Message
Hi,
Thanks you very much.  You did and we surely needed the rain.
We had gentle rain all day Tuesday and then a smattering last night.

Dear Mary S-Y,

My knowledge is limited, but that looks to me like very unusual stem branching. I understand pineappling to be crinkeled leaves which are growing so fast that they fan up before emerging.

These very unusual hurricanes are inundating us with rain which we do not need. I wish we could send some to the midwest.

Never had this happen before.  Only 2 seedlings from this cross (my pinkish NOID X Sostenique) Both are trying to maiden bloom in mid-90s heat with no rain.  A slew of tiny little buds and zig-zag branches on both.  Should I compost them?  Cut off these stalks?  What is the chance they will perform normally in future years?
