I picked up Babara Jean also.  I remember you and maybe Cathy also raving about this plant.  Phil suprised me also with another one.  I ordered Hot Property and Phil substituted it with Party of One (similar coloring), a Ben Johnson intro for 2006. Woo-Hoo!  Also can't wait to see Voltaire's Cloak, another bonus, bloom next year.

She was in  bud but had not bloomed yet!  I immediately put it on my list because the stalks and foliage were just amazing.  We had been in a drought for over a month where some of the iris were showing obvious reactions to it, but this iris drew your attention from 1/2 an acre away.  The foliage and stalks were strong, deep green very consistant with a beautiful form.  I didn't even care to know what color it was, I just needed to get my hands on the plant form!  LOL
