I've had tons of worm damage this year. There are
little green worms that drop from the trees on threads like little plant eating
paratroopers. They curl up the leaves and eat everything. There are also
slightly larger worms that go right into the rosebuds ard eat them from the
inside out! They are decimating the roses. I had been blaming the big holes on
the iris leaves on them until I discovered slugs on the leaves and stalks
munching away! Guess it's the extra wet weather. Now I'm not sure what is eating
what, but it's probably squishy and/or slimy!
