The sdlgs close to the walnut trees are seeking for the light.
I'm going to have to trim that hanging branch.
Too bad, it looked so pretty, but iris first...!

I have a number of  Black Walnut trees here and they have absolutly no effect on the iris growing next to them.  The baby black walnuts show up all over the place in the garden, coutesy of the squirels.

The alfalfa planted to rejuvinate the field is badly effected by the walnut trees so indirectly the plants  in that area may suffer from lack of  alfalfa green manure.  The iris planted next to the White pine trees  do suffer.
