The attached photo is of the Arilbred iris
WALKER ROSS. Chuck Chapman won a first prize and Queen of the Show with it in
the CIS iris show at the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) in Burlington, Ontario,
Canada last weekend. I took this photo while the iris was on display
during the show.
Last year in the 2000 AIS awards it received
the top votes for HM in its class (Aril-1/4 to less than 1/2 Aril)
I believe (very optimistically of course) that this iris may well go on in later years to win the top award for its class, the William Mohr Medal (for Aril-1/4 to less than 1/2 Aril iris).
