Yes there are probably many online photo shops. The ones that I use
and come to mind are www.shutterfly.com and www.ofoto.com I have ordered prints from
Shutterfly. They were quite good.

What would be even better would be if the
digital picture could be sent online to a photosite & then have them
produce slides and mail them to you. Any idea if this is
possible?

Christy,
So you are saying that a photo shop can take a
print and make a slide of it? Meaning I could print out my digital
pix, cart them downtown and have them turned into slides? That
would be awesome!

Hi Patti,
After figuring out how much
film was costing me and the hassles of waiting a month to find out
that over 1/2 the pics were over or underexposed, or just plain
bad, I went digital. Sony DSC-S30. Love it. Should'a done it
sooner!
For those rare times when I do need a slide, there's a
nice little photo shop that can make them from any 6x8 print for $3
each... and at just under the highest res, this little camera can
do some pretty nice 6x8 prints. :-)
