Thanks Bill. MUCH appreciated! I know what you're talking about with the iris but I'll have to pay closer attention to the daylilies this year and see if I notice it.
It rained this morning but has been clear all day so I got lots of pollinating done.

You do not know for sure. Certainly you do not always get a seed pod if you dab the pollen. On the other hand, you never get one if you don't. You can wait until the rain stops as an option.
