Hi all, 

These are some photos of Iris sofarana ssp. kasrwana at their type habitat at 
Laqlouq in Mount Lebanon. This species is extremely threatened with 
extinction. Also, the habitat has been hit by bugs in the past two years, so 
I 
was very happy to see some 20 clumps in flower - there was not a single 
flower 
last year ! Again, we see a wide variability in shape, size and color within 
the population.
