Flat TB: Six Pack

Bill said I had a good pic of Six Pack and I think
this is the pic he was referring to. He is right about
the color, Six Pack is light blue in color, not this
aqua/lavender color. As some of you know, when you
photograph blue irises, they turn out redder than what
we see. I tried to correct it by using cyan filters.
Six Pack is an excellent grower for me and is always
flat. I have grown it for so many years I can't
remember and I have never had a normal bloom. Mike
Sutton found a pollen anther on one of his blooms and
managed to get some flat seedlings from it. I am still
looking for pollen on mine. Six Pack so far has always
been pod sterile.
By the way, when I first posted this photo, someone
pointed out that it only has 5 petals. I think the
sixth petal is hiding out somewhere. Normally it does
have six petals, all with beards.
