It reminds me of one I have that is blooming for the first time.  About 9 
years ago I bought several 2 inch pots with a small piece of iris in each, 
paid 25 cents each for them.  Most have bloomed for several years now and 
are large clumps but one didn't do much and was cut down by my dear husband 
a few times with the weedeater!!!
It is blooming now and sure is a nice surprize,
