Yes there is an iris called Cowabunga (Burseen '96. The Checklist: ruffled metallic blue lilac self; beards golden orange. Here it is Blooming in my garden last year. I also grow Soul Sister. I love both but Cowabunga is a much brighter color. Soul Sister (R. Dunn) '97 is more smoky. Checklist: deep blue violet self; beards blue violet, old gold at end.

It could be just the light but the beards on yours look red. Soul Sister has big gold beards.
