TB: Matt McNames

This was possibly my favorite new bloom of this season. I realize the photo is of a flower with a wind torn petal; however, it was the closest I could get to the real color of the flower, which I could never capture perfectly with the camera. Matt McNames is stunning. The falls looked like black satin, the standards a rich uniform purple, and the beards a cool blue changing to gold in the throat. It was a real standout from a distance and up close.
